Design points

The chest stripes stop short of replacing the collar shape, which anchors the nautical look.

This skin uses Alex arms: the front of each sleeve is only 3 pixels wide. A 3×3 stroke can cover that width, so switch to 1×1 beside cuffs and small trim.

A story to start with

The sailor knows every fishing boat by its painted stripe. When an unfamiliar boat drifts in, a fresh meal and a dry blanket are already waiting.

Editing ideas

Change one stripe at a time with 1×1 to preserve the dark gaps. Try burgundy instead of blue, leaving the collar and cap pale so the sailor shape remains recognizable.
