Design points

The face opening and cream belly are separate shapes; joining them changes the hood’s expression.

This skin uses Alex arms: the front of each sleeve is only 3 pixels wide. A 3×3 stroke can cover that width, so switch to 1×1 beside cuffs and small trim.

A story to start with

The sleepover’s snacks have vanished, and tiny paw prints lead to the attic. Wearing lucky cat pajamas, the quietest guest volunteers to investigate. The culprit may turn out to be a much smaller, much hungrier guest.

Editing ideas

Try a gray tabby by adding two short 1×1 stripes on each sleeve. Check the head from above before recoloring the ear pixels; the ears are painted details, not new geometry.
