Answers about editing, saving and wearing your skin. Platform instructions were checked against the linked Minecraft guidance; labels can vary by game version.

How do I apply my PNG in Java Edition?

In Minecraft Launcher, open Java Edition → Skins → New Skin. Browse to your PNG, choose Classic or Slim to match this editor, then Save & Use. Sign in to your Minecraft account in the official launcher, never in this editor.

How do I import a skin in Bedrock on Windows or mobile?

On supported devices, open Dressing Room and the Classic Skins section, then look for Import or Choose New Skin. Select your downloaded PNG and the matching arm type. You may need to allow file or photo access. Character Creator items use a different system.

Can I use the PNG on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch?

Do not assume console editions can import a local PNG. Minecraft’s custom-image import support is for Windows and mobile Bedrock devices. A skin imported on a phone is not guaranteed to transfer to a console. Check the options available in your console’s Dressing Room.

Why do the arms look wrong?

Steve uses 4px arms; Alex uses 3px arms. The texture coordinates differ. Match the model to the imported skin and to your game setting. Switching the model changes the preview geometry but does not rearrange existing pixels.

Can I import any PNG or a photo?

This editor accepts actual 64×64 PNG files laid out as Minecraft skins. It does not turn a photo into a skin or accept JPEG, 64×32 legacy skins or HD textures. Renaming a file to .png does not convert its format.

What is Overlay for?

Overlay adds an outer shell for a hat, hair, jacket or cuffs. Both layers share one PNG but occupy different areas. Erasing Overlay reveals Body below it. Select the layer with the round control; its Show checkbox only changes visibility.

Will the grid or checkerboard be saved?

No. They are editing guides drawn only on the preview. Checkerboard means a transparent pixel. Save PNG exports the underlying texture with its actual alpha values, including pixels you erased.

How do I paint the hidden inside faces?

Choose one body part to hide the others. Rotate it or use the six view buttons, especially Top and Bottom. Check both arms and legs individually before returning to Full model. Hiding a part does not delete it.

Why does a 3×3 brush sometimes paint fewer pixels?

Stamps are clipped to the current face so they cannot spill into unrelated texture areas. Near an edge, part of a large stamp is outside that face. Move inward or use 1×1 for corners. Dragging onto another visible face starts painting that face.

Are my files uploaded? Do I need an account?

No account is needed for this editor. Imported PNGs and edits stay in browser memory; this tool does not upload them. The hosting server can still receive normal website access logs. See the Privacy Policy for the distinction.

Will my work remain after I refresh?

No. Save PNG before leaving or refreshing. Only your language preference is stored locally, not your skin or Undo history. Reimport your saved PNG to continue editing later.

Can I use this on a phone or tablet?

Use a modern browser with WebGL. Paint with one finger in Brush mode; select Rotate to turn the model. Two-finger gestures can zoom. A larger screen is easier for one-pixel details. Save the PNG where your game can access it.

Why is the 3D model not loading?

Check that your browser supports WebGL and hardware acceleration. Open the site through HTTP(S), not by double-clicking its HTML file. If the site still fails, contact JIGAMJISU with your browser, device and the steps that led to the error.

Why does an erased area look different in the game?

The editor preserves PNG transparency, but Minecraft may handle transparent Body pixels differently from this preview. Use transparency mainly for Overlay details, keep the base covered, and test the skin in your edition before sharing it.

Does this create capes, mobs or marketplace items?

No. It edits standard player skin textures for Steve and Alex geometry. It does not create cape files, change a character’s body shape, export skin packs or unlock paid game content.

Can I edit and share a skin made by someone else?

Check the creator’s permission or license first. Being able to import a PNG does not give you rights to redistribute it. Keep any required credit, and do not present another person’s design as entirely your own.
